This Privacy Policy explains how RUG OR RICHES ("we", "us", "the Game") collects, uses, and protects information when you play our free, press-your-luck tapping game through the Telegram Mini App and related website. By using the Game you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
RUG OR RICHES is an entertainment Mini App that runs inside Telegram. You do not need a crypto wallet, and we never ask for seed phrases, private keys, passwords, or recovery words. We will never request those — anyone who does is attempting to scam you.
2. Information we collect
Telegram account information
When you open the Game inside Telegram, Telegram provides us with limited profile data through its verified Mini App mechanism, which may include: your Telegram user ID, username, first name, profile photo, language code, and whether your account is Telegram Premium. We use the cryptographic signature Telegram provides to verify this data is genuine.
Gameplay data
To save your progress and run features like leaderboards and Season 1 Airdrop Points, we store game state tied to your Telegram user ID, such as: banked $MOON, Airdrop Points, taps, cash-outs, streaks, rank, upgrades, quests, daily rewards, owned cosmetic skins, crew membership, and referral relationships (who invited you and who you invited).
Payments (Telegram Stars)
Optional in-game purchases are processed by Telegram Stars. We receive a record of completed transactions (a charge identifier, the Stars amount, and what was purchased) so we can credit your account. We do not receive or store your card numbers or banking details — payment processing is handled entirely by Telegram.
Communications (crew chat)
If you join a crew and use crew chat, the messages you send, your display name, and timestamps are stored so other crew members can see them. Do not share sensitive personal information in chat.
Notifications
We may send you in-app and Telegram bot messages (for example, re-engagement reminders, event alerts, or a weekly recap). These come from the official bot. You can stop them at any time (see "Your choices").
Technical & local data
- Local storage: the Game saves a copy of your progress in your device/browser local storage so it loads quickly and works offline. This stays on your device.
- Usage & security data: our hosting and database providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, device/browser type, and request logs to operate the service, prevent abuse, and detect cheating.
3. How we use your information
- Run the Game, save your progress, and sync it across sessions.
- Operate leaderboards, ranks, crews, referrals, and Season 1 Airdrop Points.
- Process and credit Telegram Stars purchases.
- Send game-related notifications you can opt out of.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate cheating, fraud, and abuse.
- Maintain, debug, and improve the Game.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the Game, and only as needed:
- Telegram — the platform the Game runs on, identity verification, messaging, and Stars payments. See Telegram's own privacy policy.
- Hosting & database providers (e.g., our serverless hosting and managed database) — to store game state and serve the app.
- Other players — your public display name, rank, crew, and leaderboard standing are visible to others by design. Your Telegram phone number and contact details are never shown.
- Legal — if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our players or us.
5. Data retention
We keep your game data while your account is active so your progress persists. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see below). Some records (for example, payment/transaction logs) may be retained where required for legitimate or legal reasons.
6. Your rights & choices
- Access / deletion: you can request a copy of, or the deletion of, the data tied to your Telegram ID by contacting us (Section 9). Deleting your data erases your in-game progress.
- Notifications: you can mute or block the bot in Telegram to stop messages.
- Local data: clearing your browser/Telegram cache or resetting progress in-game removes the local copy on your device.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with a regulator.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including Telegram's signed-request verification and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. International transfers
