1. The idea
RUG OR RICHES is a press-your-luck crypto tapper built as a Telegram Mini App. It distills the exact emotion of degen trading — the thrill of riding a pump and the gut-punch of a rug — into a 10-second loop anyone can play, free, with no wallet.
You tap to pump a live $MOON chart. The longer you ride, the higher the multiplier — and the higher the rug risk. Cash out in time and you bank the gains; hold one tap too long and the chart rugs, wiping your unbanked position. It is self-aware crypto humour turned into a game of nerve.

3. Gameplay loop
- Tap to pump — each tap stakes your bet and pushes the live price up.
- Watch the heat — a multi-factor rug-risk meter climbs as you ride.
- Cash out — bank your position before it rugs; clutch high-risk exits pay bonuses.
- Manage risk — sell half, set auto-sell and stop-loss, ride win streaks, predict the next move.
- Progress — bank $MOON to rank up, unlock upgrades and VIP, and grow your airdrop.
4. $MOON & Airdrop Points
The Game uses two in-game scores:
- $MOON — your spendable in-game balance, earned by banking profitable rounds. Used for upgrades, VIP, and progression.
- Airdrop Points — a separate Season 1 score earned through sustained, legitimate play and quests. Points cannot be wagered and are designed to reward real engagement over time.
Both are off-chain in-game points today. They are not a cryptocurrency and carry no guaranteed value.

If a $MOON token is ever created (subject to legal review and not guaranteed), the proposed, illustrative distribution prioritises players:

7. Monetization
The Game is free to play. Optional purchases are made with Telegram Stars and grant in-game items only — never real-world value:
- VIP tiers — earnings multipliers, higher bet caps, rug protection, daily lounge perks. Earnable with $MOON (the grind) or unlockable with Stars (skip the grind).
- Cosmetic skins — collectible coin skins with rarity tiers; purely visual.
- Boosts & convenience — energy refills, $MOON packs, season pass, and limited offers.
8. Fair play
Identity is verified through Telegram's signed Mini App mechanism, so every account is tied to a real Telegram user. Game state syncs to our server, where anti-cheat bounds cap implausible increases in balances or points and flag suspicious accounts for review. Today the client computes gameplay and the server enforces these limits on top of it; a planned migration to full server authority (see roadmap) will make the server the sole source of truth, so scores and any future allocation are fully defensible. Flagged accounts may be reset or made ineligible for rewards or the airdrop at our discretion.
